Peace Corpse

The 50th anniversary of the Peace Corps was in the news so I had to watch the movie "Volunteers" and then dig out this cassette from the band Peace Corpse who I think were from Arizona. Super '80s US desert punk. I've uploaded it to Divshare with password "RPM" http://www.divshare.com/folder/843583-822

Hope all is epic!

I am starting a new project with my wife Meghan called CVLT Nation. The concept is based in metal and punk in all forms, and is a online magazine and clothing brand all in one. We are almost finished building the site at www.cvltnation.com, and we are currently looking for contributors who are interested in blogging about all things metal and/or crust. We think you would make a great contributor to CVLT Nation, and we would love to hear from you if you are interested.

About the brand: CVLT is a mainly t-shirt-based line that features hand-drawn illustration from black metal/metal artists from around the world. Our first line drops in April, when we will also be doing the hard launch of the webzine. Check out the graphics for CVLT One at www.cvltnation.com/collections. While the brand will be showcased on the blog, the main idea for cvltnation.com is to showcase the music, clothing and lifestyle of the metal community.

About the magazine: CVLT Nation focuses most heavily on music reviews, music videos/documentaries, band interviews/features, and tour coverage, but we also want to cover metal related art and artist interviews/features, photography, and men's metal and crust-related fashion (including DIY). We want CVLT Nation to be the go-to blog for all things to do with the metal and crust communities. We are trying to ally ourselves with several respected independent labels in the metal world in order to get content directly from the source. Take a look at the list of categories we are looking for contributors in, and let us know where you think your strengths lie as a contributor:

1. MUSIC: Album reviews, music videos, concert coverage (photos etc.), band interviews, band features, mixtapes, music documentaries/movies, tour dates

2. ART: Artist interviews, artist features, gallery shows, art documentaries/movies

3. FASHION: DIY (street shots, hand-made etc.), Independent (labels in the same ilk as CVLT)

Since this is an online magazine, we are asking for a level of commitment from you as a contributor. Since we can't pay you to contribute, it's not a lot, but we would like to see at least 2 to 3 posts per week from each contributor. However, all of our bloggers will get wholesale pricing (1/2 retail) on our clothing. Also, as administrators we will also be taking on the roles of editors, and we may occasionally review and change aspects of your post if we think it's necessary. We aren't going to be big brother about it, but we will be taking the look and reputation of CVLT Nation seriously.

We are really excited about this project and we think it can be really successful. Hit me back and let me know your thoughts about contributing to CVLT Nation.

Thanks,
Sean

Indeed Peace Corpse were from Arizona, Tuscon specifically. Still have to give it to them for the 'Dead In A Pile Of Chairs' song which was their homage to the death of Anwar Sadat.

peace corpse were NOT originally from arizona. they were out of pomona, california. in particular, they were out of toxic shock records, bill sassenberger's (singer) record shop. toxic shock is now toxic ranch and IS in az.
