Resent

To start things off today I have for you some raging political Loiusiana punk in the form of "Resent". Nice green vinyl on Autonomy-Restistance-Equality Records. Probably recorded around 2000.

Swell Maps

Swell Maps took music and broke it down to basic elements. Many zany instrumentals to faster garaget type punk. A very influential band that should be listed with the other Proto Punk bands of the time as they started in the early 70s and continued playing until the end, literally as brothers Nikki Sudden carried on playing until his death in 2006 and Epic Soundtracks (what a great name) died in 1997. "Let's Build a Car" is one of my all time favourite songs. This LP is a compilation by Epic and Nikki of their songs from deleted tracks and practice recordings. I bought it back in 1986. I see the flash obscured side two's track list and I'm too lazy to rescan, but they are:

clear the floor

the cave dwellers

dresden style

ammunition train

black velvet

doctor at cake

elephant flowers

stitch

rundown tube

texas

Vex

Fight Back Records released stuff by some pretty good anarcho bands. This is Fight One with the tunes "Sanctuary"

"It's No Crime"
"World In Action"
"Relative Sadness"

Reminds me a of bands like 1919, Ausgang, Peyr etc. http://www.divshare.com/download/4105804-ea8 pw rpm

Class War

On Conflict's Mortarhate Records something different for you.

Amdi Petersens Arme

If Ian Mackaye was Danish this is what Minor Threat would sound like. I saw the band at Sound Idea 8 years ago. The band were great. Very energetic. Does anyone know what they are up to now? This was their first ep and I also have their next one which is equally fantastic. This was recorded in 1999 and is #3 on Kick 'n' Punch Records.

reckless deerhunters

My favourite ever Florida band. Once led by the nicest guy ever Frank (RIP). These ex-pats of West Virginia are still going strong. They play punk like it should be. If you like Husker Du you'll love RD. This is their demo. http://www.divshare.com/download/4080636-cd3 You can get an LP from Sound Idea Distribution on Burritto Records.

The Terminators

I found the Terminators CD. I haven't seen them in ages so they have probably fallen by the wayside. Demo of offensive stuff from these Florida punkies. http://www.divshare.com/download/4080570-5bb

Shaved Women

I was looking at the Phoenix Hairpins site and after reading about Dog Faced Hermans I thought about the compilation CDs I made of female fronted bands. (One or two of the bands are errors with some pubescent boys singing). I titled these:

"She's My Destruction" http://www.divshare.com/download/4074780-246
"Dead Men Don't Rape" http://www.divshare.com/download/4074777-a85
"Shaved Women" http://www.divshare.com/download/4074825-ee5
PW: rpm

I made these CDs for a girl who was going to make me some CDs, but like some trades I lost out and only got 1 in return. I don't know where the track list is for "Dead Men Don't Rape". I guess I could go through the songs and write them down, so maybe I'll post it later. Does anyone remember or have the "My Girlfriend Was a Punk" CD that http://www.punk77.co.uk/ put out? They did lots of CDs of rare stuff, but I don't think anything is for sale anymore. All I managed to get was the Killjoys CD from the site.

Goot From The Boot

I bought this LP off the guys from Anti You. I'm not going to give you the music as it's a new (2007) edition of 1984 Italian punk bands. Also the tracks skip on side 1 which is annoying as it's a great record with songs by some bands I had not heard of. www.spittlerecords.it is still under construction and there is no info at www.gonna puke.com. These are the two lables listed on the sleeve.

I'm not having much luck with technology today. The digital camera needs recharging, so you'll have to wait for a photo. I can tell you the bands are:

Grey Shadow
NoiseNoiseNoise
Mind
Cani
Juggernaut
Putrid Fever
Funny Fashion

Anti You

This weekend Bob at Sound Idea Distribution celebrated his 13th year in business. A great line up was arranged at the night started off with the raging Louisiana outfit "Reason of Insanity", then "WarSystem" featuring Pat Lawlor of "Terrorain" fame, from the Florida punk rock hall of fame "F", No Fucker pummeling out some ear blistering dbeat, some angry female fronted punk in "Religious SS Disorder" and headlining some very nice boys from Roma Italy "Anti You" who also play some very nice 80s US style hardcore. I still haven't figured out how to record video onto my computer and so this audio is as close as you're going to get. Oh also Bob and his old buddies got back together for a jam. Here is the Anti You and F. If you are interested in more bands let me know. http://www.divshare.com/download/4007939-a18
Here are also some scans of the bands records which you can buy from Bob at http://www.soundideadistribution.com/

the Skeptix - Routine Machine

Any band with band members with names like "Snotty", "Chig", "Ush", and "Fish" are alright in my book. The Skeptix played some pretty fast punk and were fairly prolific in their time with 5 7" and and LP. I have 3 of the 7". This one is the first and from guess what year? Yes you got it 1982. http://www.divshare.com/download/3925895-6f0 PW: rpm I think they were from the northwest of England. Scans to follow when blogspot picture thing is working.
