The Destructors-Senseless Violence EP

If you think 80's UK punk is shite and I have seen comments to this effect then don't bother listening to this because I wouldn't want ot shatter your disallusions. Coming from my favourite year in punk "1982" on Carnage Records this Cambridgeshire band give a perfect example of honest DIY anarcho punk from that era. I'm going to give Divshare another go. They don't seem to be that qucik uploading and I have only had success with smaller files. http://www.divshare.com/download/2140510-a55 PW: RPM

I remember this ultra-obscure local punk band from my hometown in Sweden -in fact the band was so obscure I had to promise my friend not to tell anyone that he made me a c-tape copy, what the hell was that about? Got to ask- ANYWAY they had this song about how much the singer wanted he had been around circa 20 years earlier so he could have gone to see lots of early bands like Black Flag et al.

Sometimes I wish I had been around UK 82.

Thanks for the record, long time since I heard it and whatever format I had it in has disappeared. Now I can play around in my kitchen like its UK 82.

More of this please!

I see from discogs.com that Nihil of Phoenix Hairpins has the 12" "Cry Havoc and Unleash the Dogs of War".

Do have the Cry Havoc 12". It's featured on the Punk Singles Collection CD released on Captain Oi.
Maybe I should start a 2nd blog with punk/hardcore...

no it was'nt the 80's punk scene that was shit,it was the 80's itself,if it wasnt for the sanity of punk back then it would have been really shit, great blog this.

The rarest destructors vinyl is the 7" given away free in Trees and Flowers fanzine. All handstamped. Electronic Church & Khmer Rouge Boogie. The albums Bomb Hanoi Bomb Saigon Bomb Disneyland and Merry Christmas and Fuck Off were both bootlegs. Armageddon in Action was a semi official release. Interesting enough Destructors666 finally recorded the song that was never on Merry Christmas on their Xmas EP Bah Hambug
